CES Online Class Demystifies ORP – Gives CEU credits toward licenses

Ask someone what ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) is, and you’ll get some funny looks and head scratching. Yet, it is the all important “engine” behind your daily chlorination and water quality. Some people struggle with it, wondering WHY certain things happen because ORP can be involved.

The good news is that ORP is actually simple to understand once it is explained properly, but it is somewhat involved to explain. Normally, once you understand it, it makes sense, and answers many lingering questions. The light bulb goes off.

For years, CES has travelled around Florida, teaching classes to Health Departments (DOH), pool contractors, and customers. We have also held tens of thousands of one-on-one training sessions on the pool deck and in equipment rooms helping owners and operators learn this technology, but with everyone’s busy schedules, we had to find a better way.

A year ago we launched CES-U, an online platform that transforms 2-hour (somewhat boring) seminars into more vivid online classes complete with video, flashcards, and interactive problem solving. ORP was the first class – but there are more to come. You can take these classes from the comfort of your home and office, and repeat sections as needed until you feel you understand it 100%. There are even little quizzes along the way to help you gauge your understanding. So far ORP has received great reviews from DOH and customers, and we’re thankful for the 5-Star rating.

We are proud to announce that the ORP class is now certified for Continuing Education hours (CEU’s) for Building Managers, Pool Contractors, and Pool Service Companies.

This process was approved by the Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) and the entire process is automated through the CESU portal.

What does that mean? Here are the simple steps:

  • Log into the CESU portal at:  https://ces.learnupon.com/store
  • Click on “The Understanding ORP Oxidation Reduction Potential” class
  • Click Proceed to Cart
  • Set up your preferred payment method
  • Enter the discount (See below)
  • Take the class and receive an automated certificate
  • CES will register your CEU credits with the DPR.

“But there’s more”, as the guy with the “split boat with tape on the bottom” says. As a Xmas special CES is offering a special 50% off coupon – good through the end of December. Please enter CESORP50 in as a coupon in your cart.

Enjoy our 5-Star rated ORP course, and as always let us know if we can assist you in any way.
